The ice rink organizes skating lessons for beginners and advanced skaters. The lessons take place on the public of the Kockelscheuer ice rink, in a separate area. We offer both group classes as well as private lessons.

 

The group lessons have 1 instructor per +/- 10 students. These are not figure skating, ice hockey or dancing classes but lessons where you will learn the basics of ice skating. We offer four different classes:

Basic course:
In this course you will learn the first steps on the ice, getting started, find balance, gliding, stopping, etc. without risk to yourself or other skaters and without being afraid.

This one-hour course is open for everyone from 4 years or older. Kids, adults, parents are welcome to join the course.
The basic class takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 10:45 till 11:45.

Advanced course:

The advanced class is aimed at those who can already skate and know how to brake but want to improve their techniques. You will make a start with different stopping methods, skating backward, do crossovers and other subtleties. Minimum age 8 years. The advanced class takes place every Sunday from 12:00 till 13:00.

Adult course:
The Monday evening is reserved for students from 12 years or older. Beginners but also more experienced skaters are welcome to join this one-hour session.
The adult class takes place every Monday from 19:30 till 20:30.

Lunch course for adults:

Want to do something different in your lunch break? Come and skate with us! Our instructors will help you take your first steps on the ice or, if you are a more experienced skater, improve your skating skills. This session takes place every Tuesday between 12:15 and 13:15.

The group classes for saison 2022-2023 have finished. We welcome you back when the new season starts

Please present yourself at the ice rink at least 20 minutes before the start of the course to arrange payment and getting everyone ready to skate. If you arrive after the start of the lesson the coaches have the right to refuse access to the lesson in order not to disturb the other students. If you come without a reservation, it is possible that the course is fully booked and that you will not be able to attend. If you have booked a course but cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible. This will allow the course to be opened up to other potential participants.
